Ana-log: Our new home.
The Blue Sparrow.
Tucumcari, New Mexico
There’s a little redundancy here but it’s late and I can’t be bothered to edit, don’t know which I like of the Chocolate, and that’s the big moon over the pz680 snap, and it’s not a magazine, it’s a blog no? and the blog is hungry and so it must be fed. However if like me the blog is pre-disposed to migraines it might regret the double dose of Chocolate.
Roxanne doesn’t know it yet, well she should, I told her, she obviously thinks I’m clowning around. But we’re hitching our carriage here and no one’s going anywhere tomorrow (today).
I have listened to Chet Baker many times in many a context over the course of 20+ years but I’m not sure it ever sounded so good as it does now from a tiny speaker in a room so small we all 5 barely squeeze, off eery quiet Ol’ 66, save for this truck roaring or that jalopy stalking…
This is where I will retire, and write, and record, eat Mexican and drink beer, and take pictures, and smell the air, and wonder who’s passing through and why who’s staying when they do stay and go back to just listening to my “radio” and looking out at Ol’ 66.
And sadly where really II won’t.
